Report Builder Guide

Your reports

Find a report, check its status, and download the PDF.

Find and download a report

Open Report Builder and go to the reports table.

An individual account sees Your reports. An organization account sees Organization reports, with a Created by column. If a name was not recorded, that column says Team member.

  1. Use Search reports to narrow the list. Report and Location both show the report's address, which may differ from a saved pin's name.
  2. Check the report's status.
  3. When the report is Ready, select Download to get the PDF.

Search matches the report address only. It does not match a saved pin's name or the name in Created by, and it does not change the report. If nothing matches, the table says No reports match that search.

If you have not generated a report yet, the page says No reports yet and tells you to generate one above.

Check the status

  • Generating: the report is still being prepared.
  • Ready: the PDF is ready to download.
  • Failed: the report could not be completed. A short note under the address explains what went wrong, when we have one.

There is no retry button on a failed row. Generate the report again from the form above if you still need it. A failed request stays in the list as Failed.

Open a web report

Select View when it appears. View appears only when a web report exists for that finished report. A report without View can still have a PDF through Download.

If the web report does not open, the page says: "Could not open the web report. Try Download PDF instead." Use Download in the table.

See Read a web report for help with that screen.

Remove a report from the list

The button depends on your account and your role. There is no confirmation step. Select it only when you mean to remove the report.

  • Delete, on an individual account: removes the report and its PDF. You cannot get it back from Report Builder.
  • Unshare, when you created an organization report: takes the report off Organization reports.
  • Retract, when you are an owner or an admin and someone else created it: takes the report off Organization reports.

Other members do not see a remove button. Organization reports has no Delete.

Unshare and Retract do not delete the report the way Delete does on an individual account. An organization account has no other reports list, so the report does not move somewhere else you can open.
