Reuse an address from History

History contains up to 10 of your most recent address searches, with the newest first.

• Select an address to add a radius marker at its saved coordinates.
• Select the X beside an address to remove it from your history.
• Use the address search box in the upper-left corner of the map for new searches. History does not have its own search box.

Adding an address from History follows the normal radius-marker rules, including the three-marker limit. If you have no recent searches, the History flyout is empty. History is saved to your profile and is available again after you sign in on another session.

Save and reuse radius markers

The Saved tool is titled Saved Locations when open. It stores radius-marker centers so you can return to them later.

Save a marker

The saved name also becomes the marker's name on the map.

Put a saved marker on the map

Open Saved Locations and select a saved location. The app adds a marker at its saved coordinates using the standard 5 mi mode. The row displays On Map while a marker is active at those coordinates; select the row again to remove that marker from the map without deleting the saved location.

Saved markers still follow the three-marker limit. If three radius markers are already active, remove one before loading another saved location.

Delete a saved marker

1. Select the X beside the saved location.
2. Review the Delete Saved Pin confirmation.
3. Select Delete.

This removes the location from your profile. If the marker was loaded from Saved Locations and is currently active, it is also removed from the map. Deleting an active radius marker from the map does not delete its saved location.

Saved locations cannot currently be renamed in the Toolbar. Renaming an active marker changes its current map label but does not update the name of an existing saved copy.

Filter specialist points

Use Filters after adding a radius marker and loading nearby specialists. Depending on your profession and the available data, the tool may show sections such as Specialty, Facility Type, and Species / Patient Focus. Each filter displays the number of matching specialist locations.

The badge on the Filters rail icon shows how many filter values are enabled. Filter changes affect the specialist points on the map and can also change specialist counts in the Analysis Panel.

A specialist remains visible when it matches any enabled value across the available filter sections. If hiding one value does not hide a specialist, it may also match another value that is still enabled.

If no specialist data is loaded, Filters displays: Drop a pin to load specialists, then filter them here. Your filter choices are saved to your profile; whether an individual section is expanded or collapsed lasts only for the current page session.

Use My Places

The My Places rail icon opens a flyout titled My Locations, containing Custom Locations, Partner Locations, and User Owned Locations.

These places are separate from radius markers. They help you keep reference points and designated specialist locations on the map, but they do not create catchment areas or analysis tabs.

Custom Locations follow a different workflow from Partner and Owned provider designations. See the dedicated Custom Locations guide for creating, importing, showing, hiding, renaming, and deleting personal reference pins.

Add a custom location

The location is saved to your profile and appears on the map with a category-colored pin. You can save up to 50 custom locations.

Show or hide a custom-location pin

Select a custom location in the list to toggle its pin on or off the map. A hidden pin remains saved, and its hidden state is remembered for later sessions. New custom locations and previously visible custom locations appear automatically when your saved places load.

Use the custom-location popup

Select a custom-location pin on the map to open its popup. It shows the category, the address, and the distance from each active radius marker. Select the location name to rename it — press Enter or click outside the name field to save, or press Escape to cancel. Select Remove Pin to hide the pin without deleting the saved location.

Delete a custom location

Select the X beside a custom location to permanently remove it from your profile and the map. The current Toolbar action does not show a confirmation first.

Mark Partner and Owned locations

Partner and Owned locations begin with specialist points already loaded on the map:

1. Select a specialist point.
2. Find Designate this Location in its popup.
3. Select Partner or Owned.

A specialist can be Partner or Owned, but not both at the same time. The designation is saved to your profile and appears in the corresponding My Locations section. Partner and Owned designations also change how those specialist points are treated in competition results, so they are not counted as competing locations.

Select a row to reopen the specialist popup when that specialist is part of the current map results. A row marked Not in current search cannot be opened until the specialist is loaded again. Select the active Partner or Owned button again, or the X beside its My Locations row, to remove the designation.

Change map and analysis settings

Settings is organized into four sections.

Map Display

• Map Style — choose Streets, Satellite, Hybrid, or Terrain.
• Projection — choose Globe or Mercator.
• Default Zoom — choose the map's initial zoom level.

Analysis

• Selection Mode — choose Urban or Rural block-group matching.
• Drive Time Intervals — set three intervals from 1 to 30 minutes.
• Cluster Provider Points — group nearby specialist points into clusters.

After editing Drive Time Intervals, select the refresh button beside them to rerun active Drive Time markers. Changing the numbers alone saves the preference but does not refresh existing contours.

Panel & Display

• Show MOE — show or hide margins of error in the Analysis Panel.
• Competition Basis — calculate competition against total population or population under 18.
• Panel Position — move the Toolbar and Analysis Panel between the right and left sides.

Pin Styling

• choose colors for the three drive-time contours;
• choose the distance-circle outline color;
• choose solid, dashed, or dotted distance circles; and
• choose the radius marker's center-pin color.

Select a color chip to use a suggested color or open the custom color picker. Select outside the color menu or press Escape to close it. Settings are saved to your profile and restored in later sessions, and most display changes appear immediately.

If Toolbar content does not appear

History or Saved Locations is temporarily empty

These lists load from your profile the first time you open them. Wait briefly for the list to appear. If it remains empty after a loading or connection problem, refresh the page and reopen the tool.

A History or Saved item does not add a marker

Check whether three radius markers are already active or a marker already exists at the same coordinates.

A Partner or Owned row does not open

The specialist must be included in the currently loaded map results. Add or adjust a radius marker, then check whether the row changes from Not in current search to On map.

A custom location is missing from the map

Open My Places → Custom Locations and select the location to show its pin. If the saved list itself is missing, refresh the page and confirm that you are signed in.
